On May 21st, at the Auditorio Gervasio (Piazza Sedile), in Matera, Slow Food Publishing has launched its 2016 Guide to Extra Virgin Olive Oils. The extra virgin olive oil Rupe, monocultivar Cammarotana, by Pietrabianca, has been prized as “Grande Olio (Great Oil)”, gaining Three “Green Leaves” the highest value on the guide. Furthermore, the Lapis extra virgin olive oil, Cilento DOP monocultivar Pisciottana, gained Two “Green Leaves”.
Sol&Agrifood is an internationalquality food farming exposition, a prestigious showcase for food companies, promoting, in conjunction with Vinitaly, the olive and food farming excellence on national and international markets. This event is usually held during April at The Verona Fiere when the best selected extra virgin olive oils get rewarded at the renowned international contest the Sol D’Oro (the Golden Sun).
